I have been working and playing with code for more than two decades. My forte is building everything from mid- to the front end of the user experience.

My Loves

Aside from a fresh cup of coffee or a newly-found locally-brewed dark beer? UI libraries, components, layout, design. I love collaborating with people and teams from all disciplines of development: designers, who make things pretty, but have questions about accessibility, and backend data fiends, who need systematic structure and requests so they can build the APIs that will support them. Being able to communicate with them, work with them, and solve problems together is my jam.

HTML first. CSS next. JavaScript third. CSS Grid for layout. CSS Flexbox for flow. Custom properties. Frameworks. UI libraries based on HTML native specifications.
